Insect & Monkey Window Screens

Window Screens allow you to keep your windows open for fresh air and natural ventilation without letting in insects, monkeys, or other unwanted visitors. Manufactured in durable aluminium frames and powder-coated in a range of colours, our window screens are made to suit all window types across both residential and commercial properties.

Our Window Screens are available in five configurations to match virtually any window type or opening — Sash, Horizontal Sliding, Cassette, Side or Top Hung, and Removable Panel.

All screens are available in a range of mesh types to suit your specific requirements — from standard insect and monkey mesh through to heavier and more rigid options for properties with persistent animals.

Please note that these are not security screens. For a security screen solution, please view our Crimsafe Security Screen range.

    Removable Panel Window Screens

    Sash Window Screens

Sash Window Screens are designed specifically for sash-style windows, where the opening is created by sliding one or both sashes up and down within the frame. The screen is manufactured to fit neatly within the window opening, allowing the window to be operated as normal without obstruction.

Our Sash Window Screens are available for both single-hung sashes — where only the lower panel moves — and double-hung sashes — where both upper and lower panels slide independently. They can be manufactured to cover the full window opening or to follow the operating sash only, depending on the most practical configuration for your window.

As with our full screen range, Sash Window Screens are available in PVC-Coated Fibre Glass mesh, PVC-Coated Polyester Tuff Mesh, and stainless steel mesh options to suit the level of protection required.

    Horizontal Sliding Window Screens

Horizontal Sliding Window Screens are designed for OX-style sliding windows, where the opening is created by sliding one pane horizontally across the other. The screen operates in its own dedicated track channel and can be opened and closed independently of the window itself.

These screens are suitable for both internally and externally mounted configurations and are particularly well suited to larger window openings where a fixed screen would be impractical. A midrail can be incorporated for additional structural support on wider openings.

Sliding Window Screens are among our most versatile window screen types and can be manufactured to suit all standard sliding window layouts — whether the opening is on the left, the right, or in the centre of the window frame.

    Sliding Screen Configurations

    Cassette Screens

Cassette Screens, also known as spring-loaded screens, work by rolling the mesh upward into a head box cassette housing installed at the top of the window opening. When the screen is needed, it extends downward to cover the full window opening. When not required, it retracts neatly into the cassette and out of sight.

Because the mesh rolls into the cassette housing, no mullion is required across the window frame, leaving the opening completely clear when the screen is retracted. This makes Cassette Screens an excellent choice for windows where an unobstructed view or clean aesthetic is important.

Cassette Screens are suitable for a wide range of window openings and can be combined with sliding and sash configurations. The spring mechanism is designed for long-term reliability and smooth operation with minimal maintenance.

Side or Top Hung Window Screens

Side or Top Hung Window Screens are hinged on either the side or the top of the window frame, depending on the window type and the most practical configuration for the opening. They open outward from the hinge to allow access to the window for cleaning or ventilation, and close flush against the frame when in the closed position.

Side Hung Screens are compatible with casement-style windows that open outward on a side hinge. Top Hung Screens are suited to hopper-style windows that tilt open from the top. Both configurations are manufactured in powder-coated aluminium frames and are available in the full range of mesh types.

Because they open fully away from the frame, Side and Top Hung Screens provide excellent access to the window pane for cleaning and maintenance without the need to remove the screen.

    Removable Panel Window Screens

Removable Panel Window Screens are externally mounted on the outside of the window frame and are secured in place using turn buttons, which allow the screen to be removed quickly and easily without tools. This makes them straightforward to take down for cleaning, painting, or maintenance, and equally simple to reinstall.

Removable Panel Screens are suitable for windows that do not require regular operation and where a simple, cost-effective screen solution is the priority. They provide continuous protection when in place and are manufactured in the same powder-coated aluminium frame system used across our full screen range.

Because they are fixed externally, they do not interfere with the operation of the window from the inside and have no moving parts, making them one of the lowest-maintenance window screen options available.

    Our Work

    Types of Mesh

Choosing the right mesh is important for effective protection. We offer a selection of mesh types to suit different requirements.

PVC-Coated Fibre Glass mesh is our standard option and provides reliable protection against insects and monkeys in most residential and commercial settings. For properties where animals push or pull at screens, our custom-weaved PVC-Coated Polyester Tuff Mesh provides a stronger and more durable barrier. For applications requiring a more rigid mesh, a thinner gauge stainless steel mesh is available and offers greater resistance to persistent animals. Stainless steel security mesh is also available for applications where maximum strength is required.

    Aluminium Frames & Colour Options

All window screen frames are manufactured in aluminium and powder-coated in a variety of colours, allowing them to be matched to the existing windows, frames, and finishes of your property for a neat and professional result.

    Low Maintenance

Window screens require minimal upkeep to keep them performing at their best. Mesh should be cleaned periodically to maintain airflow and effectiveness. The powder-coated aluminium frames require no painting or sealing and are built for long-term durability with only basic routine care.
